Default Retired Head teacher

Hi Everyone, could anyone provide any information if a 65 year old retired headteacher is qualified for Permanent Residency Visa to Canada?
Many Thanks

There is no "retired head teacher visa" so unless you unless you have family who are Canadians who could perhaps sponsor you, you would have to qualify under one of the economic visa routes as you can't just go to Canada for the purpose of retirement. Your chances of employment will realistically be limited by your age so I would suggest looking up one of the business streams if your really keen on Canada.

Hello and welcome to BE!

There isn't a 'retirement' Permanent Residence stream, unfortunately.. do you have family in Canada - either Citizens or Permanent Residents? If you do they could potentially sponsor you under 'parent / grandparent' family sponsorship or you could have extended stays under a SuperVisa.

If neither of those apply, your other option could be an economic route - a start up visa for a new business start up, or self employment if you had experience in specific industries (unfortunately not head teacher - unless you also coached sports teams or participated in creative arts).

I noticed in your other thread in the Australia forum you mentioned 'Graphic Designer' - that could be an option for some Provincial Sponsorship schemes. Unfortunately your age will be against you for many streams..

If you could give a little background we may be able to offer further ideas/suggestions.

(I've moved your post to our Canada Immigration Forum, so you receive relevant responses)

OK, so your Dad needs to work out if he's eligible for a visa. Realistically, it's going to be very tricky, but get him to take the eligibility test on the official website and then he can see what that says - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...nada-tool.html

HTH.

So you haven't mentioned what draws your dad to Canada.

If it was a romance thing, then that makes quite a difference.

If he went down a Provincial Nominee route that would be a help - providing he want's to settle in the same province as them of course!
