Default Request for RPRF?

Was worried about medicals as had to have further specialist appointment - completed in December. Have just received request to pay RPRF. Can we read into this that the 'last but one' hurdle is over and just wait for request to send passports. Or can they still refuse us a visa? Don't want to cool the champagne too early and be disappointed!

I think you can read that you are one hurdle away from the finish line! They wouldn't ask for RPRF if there was something else that needed sorting first.

Congrats :0)

Hi
We were in the same position as you, but were asked to pay RPRF at time of medical requests. I needed further tests and our results went back to CHC 21st December.....We got our passport requests on Weds....so they have been posted off for the PR visas.

In your case it will depend on whether your medical results have been reviewed or still pending. I would let the champagne chill for a little longer until you get the passport requests, just in case they have not yet reviewed and want any more tests. Them having your RPRF fee won't stop them asking for further....coz if push comes to shove....they will just refund it.

Sorry to sound a bit negative, but you only have to read my signature to know where I am coming from. Even when you get the request letter for passports, that letter is still telling you not to do anything final or book flights until you have the visas.....so technically they could still refuse you....even though that seems unlikely at this stage

Hope this helps....keeping my fingers crossed that you hear soon.....this wait was the worst...so I really feel for you.
lol

Good advice. Some people even pay their PRF right up front with the application fees. This does not stop CHC asking for more info etc. Best to be patient at this stage.

Cheers

Thanks everyone for the advice. Will return to sitting and waiting patiently for that final 'brown envelope'.

Hi

If you are anything like me....I was terrified when it dropped on the mat....I couldn't open it.......fortunately my husband was home and he opened it....the tears of relief were unbelievable.....I was scared it was a refusal....but of course it wasn't.....lol......If he had been at work I would have just sat looking at it for the day.....Doh!
