Dear People..

I have very simple question and i hope to get help from this ng. I've
been interviewed in April2002 for Quebec, received CSQ in May 2002,
forwarded CSQ for federal immigration acceptance and now waiting for
Medicals. All this i did with my previous passport number which is going
to expire in JUNE 2003. I want to know that what is the best time to
renew my Passport, b/c it'll take 8-12 months for the issuance of visa
and by that time my passport will be expired.

So, Should i renew it before or after my medicals(which i m expecting in
3-4 months) and what is the impact of renewing it before or after.

And, will i've to inform the embassy about my new passport number. If
yes, than what is the procedure for that.

I hope that i'll be given best advise from the people in this newsgroup.

As soon as you receive your new passport, you should inform them of the
number.

When we received our medical papers my Passport was valid for 6
months. But i renewed the passport at that time and sent my new
passport copy along with other documents they had asked for. Got the
letter within 25 days to send passport. Got the visa in the new
passport. All the best

regardless of when you get the medical papers, you need a current passport... you should get it renewed, hold on to the old one as well, and inform the visa office by mail or fax of your new passport number, and a copy of the same...
