Relative in Canada - proof of status
Hi,
My brother-in-law is living in Canada as a PR since the last year. I
have a copy of his Landing Record prior from his departure to Canada,
and his birth certificate to prove his relation to my wife.
Is his landing record before actually landing valid, or do I need a
copy of his record stamped at immigration office when he landed? In
other words, do I need to submit a proof that he is really living in
Canada as a PR?
Thanks a lot,
Aaron

Yes, you need to submit copy of his landing document ad it is after landing
(as prior to landing there is no status) or PR Card just to prove his status
in Canada. But you also must submit evidence showing that he is really
living in Canada - his payroll stubs, utility bills, rental/lease agreement,
etc.

Re: Relative in Canada - proof of status
I forgot to say, but my in-laws have just bought a house in Vancouver
where we may live to support ourselves while we establish in Canada.
Would it be positive to our application if we attach some proof of
this to our application?
Thanks again for your kind advice.
