Default Regarding Work Permits

May I have a moment of your time please guys, might be one for Mr Miller.

If I were working on a work permit in Canada am I correct to assume that I must submit a PR application as per normal to London and attend interviews, etc, there, and that the only thing that the work permit will do is give me an additional 10 points on condition there are more than 6 months remaining on it (arranged employment)?

Thank you for your time all and Andrew your assistance to this forum is invaluable.

Yes, PR application goes to London if you are UK national and you also will have option to apply through Buffalo if admitted to Canada for at least 12 months.

Work permit must be valid (and you must be working with it in Canada) at the time of application, time of assessment and time visa is issued in order to give you Arranged Employment points.

Looking at the processing times applying through Buffalo would hold no benefit, is this infact the case or are there other issues I haven't seen?
