Default Refund of Processing Fee for PNP PR?

Hi Folks, Just a quick question:

We recently paid our processing fees at a bank in Canada for processing fees for PNP PR. Unfortunately, unknown to us applications processed in Buffalo cannot be paid through a Canadian bank but by money order or check direct to the Buffalo processing office.

We've been advised to contact CIC in Ottawa for a refund and resubmit the application with the appropriate method of payment. This we've done but are wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem and if so how long did it take to get the money back?

As a matter of interest for those PNP applicants, Edmonton were brilliant in dealing with our problem as the time for submission for processing will have elapsed by the time they get the refreshed application in Buffalo. They have given us an extension of the window for submission.

Any ideas on how long Ottawa take to get their act together for a refund would be appraciated.

Thanks

Loggie

Up to 6 months for the refund, don't forget it was your error in the first place.
