Default Red Seal - Chef - Federal Trades Program

Hello wonderful people

I've started reading up on the Red Seal exams for my husband who is a Head Chef and has a million years experience but due to our lack of degrees , I'm trying to see options whilst still here to get our points up (I have a job offer, but for stability I'd rather know for sure we can get PR before we go out there). He also has a job offer but we've since found out it's seasonal so not ideal however we have been told that given his experience he will not fall short of work .

The Federal Trades Program states that you can enter if you have a job offer or Certificate of Qualification so I'm wondering if anyone could advise whether it's worth him Flying out and booking an exam - does the Trade Program guarantee PR and does it work on a points system too.

Thoughts on a postcard to freezing Kent please ! Thank you !

It works on exactly the same points system as all other EE applications, yes. So he'd still need to be scoring enough to be selected from the pool.

HTH.

Ah ok. Thanks as always CO. I didn't realise that! He might do it anyway when we get out there as the points would come in useful after a years work.

I've seen on the BC PNP, it asks you on your education level whether you have a Trades certificate so everything helps I guess.
