Default Received Date Problem

My application was received at buffalo on december 31, 2001.
I have USPS confirmation.
I just got the CAIPS notes and it has received date as january 2- 2002.
I there anyway to get this straightened out.
This is making a differenc of 5 points for me.

Please advise.

Nobody worked on December 31st - package may have been delivered to the mail
room, but that is all. You may try to have the date adjusted but don't count
on it too much.

I suggest you write a letter to the Consul Immigration together with
proof of delivery and request that you be considered as a pre 2002
case. Keep a copy of all correspondence in the matter.
