Default A receipt for fees paid...Mr. Miller et all

My spouse sent in an international money order/bank draft to be drawn on a Canadian bank with his spousal application. All fees were paid at one time. He did not get a receipt when his sponsorship was approved and I did not get a receipt when I got my letter from Buffalo stating my file number. Should I have gotten a receipt for this? We paid everything together...like 1,525 Canadian Dollars. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

I think th only way to find out it to check with the bank whether the money/order or bank draft is cleared.

Did you make a copy of your money order or certified cheque?
Did you ask them to provide you with receipt?
Give them a call and get at least the confirmation that money was received.
They probably got it, because if you send them one cheque of $1,525 and they did not get it, they would send your application back and ask for sponsorship application money and you would not get the client ID at all.
