When does the "two years out of five" rule start?

1 From the day you get the medicals done?
2 Form the day you get the visa or the expiration of it?
4 From the day you get your passport request?
3 From the day you land?
4 From the day you get your PR?

It starts from the day you land, which is also the first day you are a PR. It may take a few weeks for your PR card to arrive but you are a PR nevertheless.

Almost Canadian

Don't forget that it is "rolling" - ie unless you become citizen you have to keep to the minimum for the rest of your life, it's 2 years in any 5 year period
