Default quick PNP question

i have just started looking into the whole PNP route and was just wondering if anyone could confirm if i understood it?
is it right that you need a job offer to apply for a PNP? so say you get a job offer in BC, you then have to apply for the PNP but also apply for a TWP which means you can start working only for that one employer within BC. once you get the PNP you apply for PR from within canada?
is that the general idea? if possible, could anyone provide me a timescale on the individual steps? say we were offered a job today, how long would it take for the TWP to come through, then how long would we be looking at in terms of getting PR?

sorry if this was already covered numerous times, i couldnt find any specific info on it. there's quite a few pnp threads but i thought chances of people replying would be higher if i opened a new thread instead of posting in an ancient one!

cheerio!

Have you looked at all of the PNP websites? Those will give you the info you need, but yes, for most streams you would require a job offer (although not all).

Timescales will vary, but figure about 3 months to get to the first nomination stage (when you'd get the TWP), and then a year to get PR. That's a very rough guide though, as it will differ depending on the province and stream.

HTH.

Don't need a job offer for Manitoba PNP, just close relatives and main applicant must have a degree.

Depends on the stream though, there are a couple under the Manitoba PNP that do require a job offer.

Yes you are right, but Family/General and Strategic Initiative do not, not sure about other provinces.
