Default Questions re: those who were approved as Sponsors for spousal sponsored PR visa?

I was just wondering for those of you who have been approved for a spousal
sponsored PR visa, did the sponsor meet the minimum LICO (minimum financial
requirement) standard though LICO is waived for spousal sponsored PR visa?
If you did not meet the LICO requirement, how close to the LICO requirement
were you?

THanks

Hi Al,
I am in the process ofsponsering my husband, we started in 2002 and I
was really under the minimum amount because I had only worked a few
months here in Canada due to the fact I was in another country with my
husband and at the time I was not working so if I remember correctly I
think I was about $5000 under what the requirement was (that is not
the exact amount but from what I can remember is was really low).

Hello,

I am assuming that you've alreayd been approved as the sponsor for your
husband? Are you still awaiting the results of your husband's PR visa
application or has that been already resolved?

THAnks

That seems to be quite a long waiting time? What is your timeline from the
first time you sent off your application? What country is your husband
applying from? (Is this applying from within Canada or abroad?)

Yes it is a very very very long waiting time and I am starting to get
ticked off our timeline is this .....

Sent in application ... august 2002
Aproved .... august 2002
husband got his letter of acknowledgement .... december 2002

Since then NOTHING he is an arab Muslim man so of course our process
will take longer (to be exact he is from Libya) and I am happy for
those people who's process seems to go really fast but for those who
are complaining and it has been only a few months you know what there
are other out here who have waited alot longer!!!
