Hi Ii am being sponsor by my husband who is Candian Ii am American from within Canada
and on Friday I finally found out that they approve me and they sent in my AIP Letter
to me On Jan 26 it took a year and 3 months to get this letter because of backlog in
Scarbough I am from Mississauga My Questions are

1. When shoould I expect the letter if they mailed it on Jan 26?

2. I want to get my SiN number so I can start working where or who do I call

3 The immigration that I called is mailing me a OHIP letter where do I go to get the
OHIP and how long does it take to use the OHIP.

You can email personnally either [email protected] or [email protected]

I hope I get at least one answer

Thanks in advance Diane

You should get your AIP letter any day now if it was mailed on Jan 26th.

You can't start working until you get Employment Authorization - you may apply for an
open EA after receipt of AIP letter, unless you already submitted your EA application
with your inland PR application. Only after you have EA you may apply for SIN and
start working.

EA stands for Employment Authorization (work permit for foreigners who are not
Canadian citizens or permanent residents). You must apply for EA - application forms
are on the CIC website or you may just go to the local CIC office and ask for forms
and instructions.

Diane, I'm in Vancouver and have no idea where the CIC office you are asking for is
located. Call them again and ask for directions.
