Dear Mr. Miller,

Can a person who has recieved his Landing Papers and does not want to compleate Landing formalities now and want to Land in Canada after 8 months and want to VISIT Canada to explore the job market or other things ,buisness will be able to get a VISITOR VISA for Canada for few days?
This is for an Indian citizen who is in USA working with H1B visa and needs Visa to Visit Canada.

I have got mixed reply from friends, some say that once you have been given PR or Landing papers you MUST LAND and Visitor visa will NOT be issued.

Others say that as One has Immigrant Visa or Landing papers in hand will be issued Visitor visa because Visitor Visa is Only denied if Visa officer find Immigration intent, but if one has Landing papers and does not want to Land now can be easily issued Visitor Visa.
I hope you will claryfy this.
Thanks

In such case visitor visa may be issued and person in question may use it to visit
Canada before landing.

Hi,

I was in a similar position earlier this year and got a visitor visa without
any trouble.
