Hello, my wife is currently studying in one of the Canada universities
as an international full-time student(holding a SP). We plan to have a
baby NEXT YEAR since we are not young. The question is can she still
keep her full-time student status during her maternal absense to the
school. Are there any CIC regulations or university-dependent policies
regarding this issue? What is the maximum maternal absense if she can
keep her status?
Any experts or whoever experienced such a thing, please give your
advices.
Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks..Shawn

Full time student status is a function of the number of courses that she
is enrolled in at school. It is not necessarily an immigration issue
unless you are in the process of applying for extension.
Your spouse's status as a visitor remains intact for the duration
originally allowed, regardless of her status at the school.
