Hello everyone.
I have a question regarding family sponsorship. I understand that one
may only sponsor certain family members (parents, grandparents,
spouses etc etc); however, could someone clarify this info that I
found on the CIC website?
"you may also sponsor one relative of any age if you do not have an
aunt, uncle or family member from the list above who you could sponsor
or who is already a Canadian citizen, Indian or permanent resident."
Thanks to all.

It is rather simple. If you are alone in Canada - you don't have a spouse, a
common-law partner, a conjugal partner, a child, a mother or father, a
relative who
is a child of that mother or father, a relative who is a child of a child of
that mother or father, a mother or father of that mother or father or a
relative who is a child of the mother or father of that mother or father -
and if you don't have anyone abroad who may be sponsored then you may
sponsor one other blood relative.
