Default Question about passports on a common-law application...

Hi All,

I'm going to be sponsoring my fiance via the common-law route; we are mailing off our application in about 2 weeks once his medical is done.

A question, though. His current passport was set to expire in Sept2012, so we sent off for it to be renewed before we mail off the application. However, when he did his police checks last month, he sent in the photocopy of his old passport page, so the passport number referenced on the police check will not match his "new" passport. We do have photocopies of the old one and will include photocopies of the new one as well.

Does anyone know if this will cause any issues? I would think it should be ok, but in my paranoia I just want to check.

Thanks!
