Hi

I am due to arrive in Calgary in October to look for a job in IT, assuming that i secure a job offer and a positive LMO can I just then drive into the US to turn around back into Canada to apply at Point of Entry?

Only thing is I will need my wife and Kids Permits (Open permit, Study permits) granting at the time of the application (they wont be with me at that stage).

Also would i need a visitors visa for the US even though im really just flag polling...Im from the UK btw

Hi

1. Yes you can.
2. You can't get your families permits as they are not with you. They will have to apply on their own when they arrive (with a copy of your work permit.)
3. No, you don't need a visitor's visa. You can either enter the US or get a rejection letter from the US side and return to Canada.
