Default question

I'm new to this board. Maybe someone can help me:
I'm in the process of Canadian pr under business class . Don't know how long it will take, but it could well be over a year still.
I have this opportunity to start a business now, over in Canada.
My question now is, can I start up a business, before getting PR and just manage it without hurting my PR processing ?
I know I couldn't "work" in Canada, but instead, I would "manage" it from abroad.
Much obliged.

Yes, you can do it, as long as you are not working in Canada.
