Cracker is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Quebec landing number 2

I am a Permanent Resident and landed in Halifax originally.I am now in the UK but have got a job starting soon in Quebec.
Do I simply show my PR card and landing document at Montreal?
Or do I have to re-register myself- since it's Quebec? Is there an additional landing registration as it's different to my original landing port?

You don't have to do anything, just arrive and start work.
