Default Q: RCMP timeine

Hello all,

Did I understand it correctly that after the fingerprints done it takes
about a couple of months to enter the application into the RCMP database
and then it will take another 5-6 months to process it?

I did my fingerprints in November 2003...

Hello,

When I submitted the fingerprints to Ottawa RCMP, I gotten email reply at
that time, and the officer said that once information is entered into
database, it will take about 150 days. Interesting thing is when I emailed
RCMP about 2-3 months before that time, I was told about 90 days. Unless
something is done soon to increase the speed of search (interesting that in
Japan where my wife is from, the background check there takes a mere week or
so and their population there outnumbers Canada in such a small area), the
timeline will progressively increase over time. Good luck.
