Default Purolator service sucks..........

Guys,

I just had a very bad experience with purolator month and a half back.
They could not deliver my package to the consulate.
Guys decide for your self....what if it would have been somebody's
passport.
They will make you go in circles for 15 days and then tell you the
package is lost.

Add to that my $0.02

Purolator Montreal harassed me for the longest time, before
giving me a shipment (a watch) from Alberta, including being rude,
obnoxious, giving me service only in french when I made it clear I
do not understand beyond basic french, etc.

I finally had the shipper in Alberta call up Purolator and
yell at them to get things working.

I've had much better service/reliability with Fedex/DHL, and
even Canada Post. Infact, I prefer Canada Post over anything else,
when I deal with domestic stuff.

I completely believe that.

I've used them a few times.

They attempted to deliver to an address, I wasn't in. They tried
delivering two times, yet they left no calling card.

I phoned them to see where my package was and they said "oh, there was
no one in, so delivery couldn't be made" - that is fine... the fact they
couldn't be arsed to leave a calling card is unforgivable.

2 cents here:
I sent a package to Saga Japan but it was sent to Shangai China!.When the
package finally arrived to Japan, everything inside was broken. After endless
talks on the phone they agreed to refund me for the shipment plus the broken
stuff.Dont worry! Check is on its way!..2 weeks later: A LETTER...great
..my check is here!
"Please send us proof of payment in order to start processing your claim" ..
yup.. Puro-later sucks

Oh god -- i wish I hadnt read that earlier thread...

My lawyers in Toronto sent my entire application to London CHC by Purolator on the 11th August.
According to their online tracking system it got there on the 14th, but Im now wondering if it actually did, as I still havent received an AOR, and other people who applied after me have received theirs.... surely they cant lose everything?

Isn't Purolator owned by Canada Post ?

Canada Post is the worse mail service I have ever had the misfortune to
use. Why does it take up to 7 days to send a simple letter from one
place to another in the same city ! I sent a letter to myself once to
test this, and sure enough, 6 days later it arrives. There is no excuse
for something taking that long - I want it the next day.

Once I received a 'final notice' to collect a parcel at the local post
office. I didn't even recieve the earlier notices! On top of that, we
also get everybody elses mail delivered to us. These delivery people
can't read.

Long and the short is that these services have facilities that would kick in
and send things back to the originator.

Yup they screw up "FED-Ex" in may case, but the problem always seems to get
resolved. may take a little time but don't worry.

Here in Toronto, they have postmen (or postpersons??? not to offend anyone)
who can't speak English, and presumably can't read it either. So the mere
fact that mail generally gets delivered is an achievement in itself.
