Default Proving work experience over 7 years old?

Hi

And am in the process of applying for PNP with opportunities Ontario and noticed on the form that I have to provide a ten year work history.

I have worked solidly for the past six years or so in relevant employment however before that I really just worked for my farther for a few years as a DJ (shabba).

Is it possible to write up a letter saying that I was working for my farther as a DJ for a few years? Inland revenue have no record of this as it was a while ago and I was only working casually really anyway.

My dad was only doing it for fun as well so we don't really have anything to prove that period. I am working in IT so I guess it's not that relevant anyway? I was also a stay at home dad during that period as I was looking after my little girl in the day.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

If your were working for your father and it was not reported income, hard to then claim it as working. If it was a job and 'self employed' you would need copies of tax returns and letters from clients to prove it. You could ask your father to write a letter stating what you were doing.

Alternatively, you could put down you were bringing up your child and entered the workforce when your child was older and you went into your current occupation, if this is what happened.

Hi

Thanks for your reply, I was basically a house husband for a few years there so will probably just put that for simplicities sake. Will I need to provide a letter detailing this and if so will this need to be signed by a solicitor or anything like that?

Thanks
