So, I've got a question around proof of funds. I am trying to confirm what is and what is not needed regarding proof of funds. Whenever I do research on what's required I am always sent to the CIC website and the part that mentioned that funds are needed for certain Express Entry categories but not CEC nor for anyone who has a valid job offer in Canada. The issue I have is that this section is build all around Express Entry. Whenever I investigate the requirements for PNP (in this case, Ontario) they are all a little vague without clear language to what is needed and what is not needed.

I applied under Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream and part of the requirement is that I need to be continually employed in my job (the visa I was issued was a closed visa and I'm informed that my application would end if my employment ever ends). When I filled in my application I used the advice I had on hand and declared zero funds for my settlement funds.

Now, what I am looking for is anyone who can shed some light on their own situations and find out if anyone has gone down a similar route. I am currently waiting for a final decision on my application, I've already been sent for my medicals and I received an additional letter asking for final payment (in the same letter it advised that I was assessed as eligible for the stream I applied under).

What do you find "a little vague" about the OINP Foreign Worker stream list of required documents at https://www.ontario.ca/document/oinp...cant-checklist? (or for that matter the being-found-eligible letter)

I've reviewed the required document list numerous times both during and after application. The part I find unclear is the fact that it does not mention anywhere the need for settlement funds (or proof of funds). I've also visited the website to gather more information and even that does not provide me with a definite requirement (i.e. is proof of funds needed for the PR I applied under).

The part about the letter from CIC is more about background on where my application is in the process. What they mean by "found eligible" I am not 100% sure.

So in summary: I'm just wanting some clarity on the requirement of proof of funds for the PR I applied under.

They list the documents you are required to submit.

If it's not on the list of documents you are required to submit, you don't need to submit it.

This is why they list the documents you are required to submit.
