Would you please be kind enough to tell me what is the current processing time for Federally Skilled Migration program of Canada? I submiited my application four years back while I was told that time that I would be contracted with in 36 to 42 months. Now 48 months have passed and i have not been contacted so far?

Processing times from every country are different and because BE is a forum mainly used by British expats so I'm afraid you will only get an idea of the processing times at London on here.

Did I read somewhere that applications from Pakistan, pre-Feb 2008 have now being sent to the London office? If so, I'm afraid you are in for a long wait - see thread about progress of 2007 queue - http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...3186&page=90Se See latest letter on this thread from CHC in response to enquiries from people who have reached the 42-48 months wait for processing.

Processing times for applications from your application date are estimated at 85 months now. You can find this on the CIC's website at: www.cic.gc.ca

Thank you for giving me hope by posting the link through which I could reach to the letters sent to individuals whose assessment started.

Surely this would be quicker from start to finnish than waiting for your old application to progress.

wow 85 months thats a long time. Keep your chin up and Jersey may have something, is it not possible to reapply?
Don't know the ins and outs of what you can and can't do, but 48 months of waiting already would have me jumping off a cliff.

Actually it makes me wonder how many applications from Pakistan eventually go by the wayside as the original applicants move on in life, and maybe physical address, and give up without actually withdrawing their application.

it does seem an awfully long time doesn't it. Maybe the ratio of people wanting to immigrate is roughly the same but as it's a bigger country with more peole then the number of applicants is just that much larger.
And (please don't take this the wrong way) isn't Pakistan one of those countries that needs extra time taken over it's applications due to immigration fraud and so on - i'm sure I read this somewhere. If so that would have a lot to do with it.
To the o/p is there not another stream - way that you can immigrate? If your job is on "the list" have you though about trying to secure a twmp work permit via LMO as a stop gap?

Thank you for your time and information that applications submitted at Canadian High Commission Islamabad, Pakistan on 30 May 2007 have been sent to London. I have neither received acknowledgement from London office nor they demanded me to submit my document of qualification and experience. I have not even sent them my CV. My application was limited to four pages i.e. three pages of application form and one page of bank fee deposit form. How the London office will be able to process my application when they did not have copies of my documents and experience.
