How long does it take to get the interview notice after initial assessment.

It depends from many factors. You didn't say when and where did you apply, when
initial assessment was received and where you reside - without such basic info nobody
can give you an answer.

Oops! I didn't pay attention to subject line of your post.

Current wait for the interview in LA is about 8 to 10+ months from the date file is
received by LA consulate, the date of assessment notice is not really relevant.

Thank you very much for replying my question. I do not want to take your vauable time but I am a little bit confused.

You mentioned "Current wait for the interview in LA is about 8 to 10+ months from the date file is received by LA consulate. "

Initial assessment notice I received from Buffalo says file transfer will take 7-10 months. Does it mean that I should wait approx. 1.5 - 2 years for my interview ?

It is confusing indeed.You will wait for the interview letter about 8 to 10+
months in total.
