Default Processing Time Estimates For London UK

Hi All

I was just wondering if anyone had applied for PR via London, UK, and if so, would you have any estimates of the processing times?

I submitted my application in November 2003 and received my file number in February 2004. Checked my e-client status an it is still shown as In Process.

Any idea when we might hear something?

Many thanks

As of late last year it was taking at least 10 months and in most cases more than 18 to as long as 30 months depending on circumstances. !8 months is fair working estimate but there will be exceptions in both directions and each case is unique so no precise answer is possible.

Thanks for the information.

I have settled in for the long haul and expected 24+ months so anything below that would be a bonus but I will wait and see.

Are those times for a work visa or family sponsorship?

Work visas - family class is much quicker.

Thanks for the link.

Patience is definately the name of the game when it comes to this process. I applied under the skilled worker class as a multi-media programmer.

I am just praying that things proceed as quickly as possible. It's a long and emotional story :-)

In fact I believe work permits are processed fairly quickly - it's skilled permanent resident applications that take time.

Ooops! I assumed he was asking for Skilled Worker PR times versus Family Class PR, sorry. Yes work permits take a much shorter time.
