processing fees

I am in the process of gathering my documents to send off to the High Commision for PR.

Can anyone confirm / advise if I
have to pay another Processing fee with this application. I have already sent a cheque to Canada at the first stage.
I have searched all web sites but it is not obvious as this second stage application also seems to ask for a processing fee using the same table.

Thanks Marcus

Re: processing fees

Hi Marcus
We paid the initial application fee when we sent in the application in the first place (we paid $550 X2 Adults plus $150 x 2 Children, so a total of $1400). We expect to be asked for the $495 each adult for the Right to Permanent Resident fee when we get sent for our medicals, but they will ask for that (if like us you did not pay the whole lot up front when you sent in your application as you could have sent it all at that time if you wanted to). The only other thing we will pay for are the medicals.

Of course when you are asked to update your documents, there will be the new Police Certs to pay for...again!!!!

Hope this helps
lol

Re: processing fees

Hi we paid 550 CAD x 2 ( myself and hubbie) and sent this with our initial paperwork. We paid 490 CAD x 2 about 3 weeks ago just after our medicals - you will get this amount back if you are not granted a visa. We only had to submit one police certificate- this was sent in our inital paperwork. The embassy did request an updated one but this turned out to be an error and they did not need it. The medicals cost about £500 in all for the both of us including the x-rays, we did go to London on Saturday so I imagine you will find other practices cheaper.

Hope this helps.

Hi Debs,
Assume you need police certs both yourself and hubbie not jyst the principle applicant ?

I am possibly about to go through this whole PR thing the 2nd time. Had it once, came back (long story) and current one doesnt have sufficient time left to get the two years.

Hopegfully this time round there will be better communication and from what I,ve read 6-12 months processing times for the skilled worker route I,m looking at again

Yeah myself and hubbie had a police certificate, it was easy to do and had them within 10 days. We did get an extra copy each just in case but we've not used them.

Thanks for the quick reponse.

I haven't read through the application details in full that my weekend job !
Assume youhead down to your local cop shop with a pre-prepared form ?
Theres also mention of photos, I don't think I had to supply those when I last applied.

You need to fill in the form and follow the instructions on the following website:
http://www.acpo.police.uk/Certificat...20form%207.pdf

They returned the certificates pretty quickly - good luck

Re: processing fees

Cheers Debs,

Just downloaded the docs plus all the PR forms on the CIC site. Do you send the police forms to Sydney at the start of the process or London at the 120 day stage ?
