In Process?

Hi

I have just checked the CIC website for progress and it says In process - your application was reviewed and we started processing on july 14th. Does that mean they have checked all the paperwork sent and are going to send us medical requests? Or they still have to check paperwork?

Just wondered as we are starting to get a little excited!!

Thanks in advance

Re: In Process?

Don't say that!!

First stage docs were sent in April '09, second stage docs received in london June '09 then the change on the ECAS site this morning. From what has been said on here previously the new guys seem to be progressing quickly which must be very frustrating for the older applications.

One other thing, our lad is finishing school this time next year at 16. We will not be going before then should we get the visa as we want him to finish school. When we go out permanently can he then get a job at 16/17 as I know the canadians don't finish school till they are 18.

Thanks

Mine has been in progress since Oct 2006. Its not a very reliable service but seems to give new applicants more information that old ones, so maybe you will get lucky and see it change during the course of your application.

High school finishes at 18, I'm not sure how UK exams (GCSE's, A levels etc..) match up with the canadian system but I would imagine a lot of employers will be looking for people with at least a high school level of education.

There may be some kind "top-up" exam he could take?

Also you might want to find out if he can legal go straight into work at 16...if 18 is the compulsory age for school in Canada he may have to attend until then.

:fingerscrossed:for your application!

:)

yeah i think the site is more accurate for the new applicants applying under the new process.

and yes it is very frustrating watching the new guys getting dealt with before ours but unfortunately you just take it on the chin and keep stalking the postman!!
