OK, so I suppose you would have had to have been there...

We were crossing back into the US from a week in Vancouver a few days ago, waiting to
go through US Customs at the Peace Arch border crossing. (For those not familiar
with it, the monument is on the border, with a large lawn and gardens on either side
of it.) While waiting in line, our daughter noticed that the lawn on the US side had
not been watered as recently and was starting to turn brown.

She spoke up and said, "Moving to Canada will be a good thing. Look, the grass
really IS greener on the other side!"

It made my day! Hope it gives you a smile, too.
