Default Preparing Skilled Worker PR application for July - a few questions...

Hi folks.

Last July I started my PR application, only to find I was woefully under-prepared. Thanks to the help I received from members of this forum I feel much more confident about this year (please see my last post "Fasttrack PR visa" to see someone who had not done their homework porperly )

I intend to make my application under the Skilled Worker programme under category 1122 "professional occupations in business services to management" (assuming it is included on this year's list). I appreciate that this one fills up very quickly so it is my intention to have my completed application arrive at the Visa Office on the 1st July.

I've been in Project Management for over three years now under two different employers and my highest academic qualification is a degree in Business Studies.

However, I have some questions and have made some assumptions and am hoping that I can get some answers/confirmations from the board.

1) I understand that the new list and 2012/2013 visa window will open on the 1st July - am I right in thinking there is no point submitting my application any earlier than the 1st July?

2) I'm ordering the documents that will take time to prepare this week. On wednesday (payday) I will be booking my IELTS "general" test - there are spaces available at the end of may. I will also be beginning to gather my employment references, ACPO records, etc. Is there any other documents that may take a long time to gather?

2a) Re: employment references - the document checklist says all employers in the last 10 years, have I read this right? SO for every company I've worked for, even temp jobs I'll have to get a hugely detaled reference?? I was under the impression you just needed the reference relevent to the skilled worker category you are applying for... if a job (eg a temp job in a shop) gives no benefit to your application do you still need to get references for it? what if the company is out of business?

3) If I want to get out there before the PR is back - can I apply for a working holiday visa after I have sent my PR application? Alternatively is it possible to apply for a PR while in Canada on a working holiday visa?

4) I'm confused about at what point you need a medical - is this to be submitted on July 1st or do they request this from you later?

5) Finally, I would feel comfortable if I could find an accredited specialist to help me complete my application smoothly - rather than risk the unknown people on Google, is there a register - perhaps on the forum - of specialists (I'm guessing they would be lawyers or similar) who could guide me through? (I really don't want to mess up this application).

As always, very many thanks indeed for your help.

Please see the attached. It might be relevant to you for NOC 1122. Particularly the date that the cap was full. fletch
