PR from work permit
Hi.
After a lot of looking I have been offered a job on a 12 month work permit  Is it possible to apply for PR from this when I am there or do I have to return to the UK and submit my FSW application after the years up? Thanks for any replies. ClanickP |
Re: PR from work permit
You most certainly can apply! Have you got a positive Labour Market Opinion?
Once you get your Temporary Work Permit and are in Canada you send off your application to the CIO (Central Intake Office) in Sydney, NS. Follow the instructions on the CIC website. You will have to provide proof of your work experience, and you will have to take an IELTS or CELPIP english language test. Later on you will also have to provide a british police certificate. |

Hi thanks for the reply.
Yes LMO approved. Is the language test valid for 12 months? Best to get that b4 we leave if so, no language centres where we will be going. How long does application take? Dont want to have to leave after 12 months if application hasnt been processed in time and work visa has expired. Thanks. ClanickP |

ClanickP Does it recommend you to apply for provincial nomination after 6 months? (mine for a job in Saskatchewan did). If you can apply for Provincial nomination and get it, they give you a 6 months deadline to file for PR (the provincial nomination supports your PR application). Also the provincial nomination supports your TWP extension application and if applying for PR as a provincial nominee you don't have to take the IELTS exam. |
