Default PR validity

Once Permanent Residence is granted, is there a requirement to

(a) enter Canada within a certain time, and

(b) Spend a certain amount of time in Canada, e.g 3 out of the first 5 years etc.

FOr example, if I don't live in Canada for the first 2 years after getting PR will I lose my PR status?

Many thanks.

Default Re: PR validity

a) you must land in Canada prior to expiration of your PR visa, and

b) you must be physically residing in Canada for at least 730 days (2 years) in every 5 years period to keep your status.

No, you won't lose your PR status if you will be absent from Canada for first 2 years after landing.
