PR processing

Just wondering if anyone has any info regarding PR processing.
basically we resent our PR application it was delivered and signed on the 15th March (inland application, our original application got lost) I have tried to find the application on the cic website but it finds nothing. I just wondered how long it normally takes for them to open it once delivered?

thanks

Re: PR processing

Depends on the PR route, some have longer processing times than others. But 6 weeks will usually be too early, generally takes a while longer to get it in the system.

Ok thank you! It’s through PNP and we had to apply via paper.
I just wondered what the average time is for it to get opened. It’s definitely arrived and been signed for this time which is good 😁

Be prepared for a long wait. I'm an outland application from the UK and mine arrived in Sydney NS on the 16 Nov and I still haven't heard a thing.

My friend has done a paper based application, her application was submitted in Feb 2020. Her lawyer told her to expect a long wait and still is. Current estimates on CIC is 21 months.

Re: PR processing

Hi
We still haven't heard anything at all back from our PR application, not even a confirmation email. We emailed through IRCC website but they said:We will respond to these priority enquiries only:

· Clients in crisis situations (like those affected by the situation in Afghanistan)

· Clients facing vulnerable circumstances (emergency and urgent requests)

· Clients who need to tell us about a change in their circumstances, which has a direct impact on their application (like marriage, birth of a child, or similar)

· Clients who are submitting documents requested by one of our officers

· Changes in contact information

· Requests to withdraw an application or refunds

If your enquiry is NOT one of the priority enquiries listed above, you will not receive a reply.

So we will not receive a response. Anyone know who else I can contact? we are in Canada so even if I have to travel to an office in Toronto im happy to do that.

We already had 1 application lost, this one says it was signed for but I just want confirmation they have it!

Thanks

Until they open and start processing the application you won't be able to track it, nor will the 'misinformation line' or the online trackers, unfortunately. You know it's arrived and signed for, now it's a case of waiting :( Do follow the guide in the wiki for checking online - it's easy to make a basic error like inputting 'UK' instead of 'England' which will show 'no results'.. although the wiki article is for 'spousal sponsorship' the basic steps for eCAS and MyCIC are the same - hopefully it won't be too much longer. :)

Re: PR processing

It took ours 5 months between getting the notification it had been signed for and getting an email from IRCC saying it was being processed, so agree hopefully not long now. (This was early Aug 2020 - mid Jan 2021) And once it was in the system, i did then start getting invites to do biometrics and medicals, so it felt like i was finally getting some control! Though having done both those steps, i'm now back in the total comms silence....

Re: PR processing

Just wondering when you did your biometrics?

My application is online, submitted April 19th, biometrics and medical submitted mid-August. So I am now 5 months into my application.

I'm just wondering if the 6 month estimate for online PNP, and 21 months for paper-based are accurate? The only route it seems to update on CIC is the CEC route.
