Default pr problems

i know this has been discussed a thousand times but i could not find a clear answer.
i hold a british passport and have lived in canada for 45 years. my pr card has expired and after some hiccups with immigration i still havn't recieved it and i am going on vacation to the dominican republic in a few days. wil i encounter any problems trying to return back to canada in the dominican or in canada? i know about going to the office in the dominican but we are only staying for a week, the office is no where near where we are staying and there is no gurantee they will get it done in time. what should i do? will they deny me access to the plane home in the dominican? any help would be greatly appreciated

Chances are if you are travelling on a valid UK passport you may not be asked re your status. Im guessing you are flying with a charter airline such as Sunwing, Air Transat who may ask you for proof of PR. If no PR card then they can refuse you boarding.
Your choice how to proceed.

Also as FL said the airline can deny you getting on their plane.

I have to ask, after 45 years is there any reason you've not become a citizen?

You can get a travel waiver from the dominican.

I had to do this last time I went to the UK I sat in the office for about 6 hours and it was same day service. The British office also does it by mail and they say it takes about 5 days.

Not really you either risk it or apply for the travel document in the Dominican while you are there.
Failing that what are your cancellation terms and then rebooking at a later date once you have your PR card?

No idea try google maps for distances. One day may be enough if you get there early enough.
