Default PR possible to extend or not

Hi

I have completed 12 months of my PR in the past 5 years. It expires in Nov 2012, so I can't get the required 2 years in 5 completed. Is there anyway that you can extend it.

If I re-entered Canada before my PR expires, could I stay and try and extend it within Canada. Or stay and never leave and apply once I have stayed a further 5 years.

I am worried that if I re-enter and stay then I will be thrown out!

Family matters have prevented me from returning sooner.

Thanks

It looks like you are out of luck there if you have only been in Canada one year since your landing here.

As I understand it, if you fail to meet the residency requirements your PR lapses and you have to apply all over again.

Read this link but as others have said no extensions available and removal orders can be issued

Thanks everyone for your advice. I don't want to break any rules, so will have to go back to the beginning.

Thanks again
