I don't know if they charge different rates for kids and adults, but when I had mine done last month in Toronto, it cost me $160. Hope that helps.

We went through our medicals in June/July. I have dug this info out from an old post of mine. Costs as follows:

Medicals for 2 adults and 2 children (1 hour per person) = $640

2 Chest x-rays for each person carried out at local hospital and put onto CD = $70 per person

Blood tests at local hospital = no charge (we were not asked to pay at our local hospital, although I think this may have been an error as it was for private medical).

I think the fees were the same for adults and children but I can't remember.

hi not sure if this is any help to you. i had mine done 2 years ago in Kelowna. i dont' think things have changed that much.
this is from a thread i posted 2 years ago. It was just for me alone. ( i was/am here on spouse PR)

doctors fee = $150
Lab test- blood and urine samples.$10.66
Radiographer- chest x-ray $55
total - $215.66

Doctor was very friendly and professional. Informed me of the possibilty of cic requesting more information regarding cancer experience 14 years ago. However as i had brought with me, a letter from my specialist in Australia relaying my attendance to follow up examinations since '91 with NO recurrence of disease, that hopefully *cic* will find this sufficient.
Also it was discovered i am having slight hearing problems in my left ear, and i still await the lab and chest x-ray results.
As i am aware that i cannot be classified as inadmissable for health demand, i feel very confident about the whole procedure. However not to the point of arrogance.
I hope this experience is helpful to others.

We went to a doctor in Burnaby, BC.

$140 each for doctor examination and blood tests.

$67 each for chest x-ray.

Total for 2 adults = $414.

Doctor was an immigrant himself (South African) and said that as we had been so quick and easy to process, were there any other procedures or issues we wanted doing or discussing. I have 3 warts on my hand which have never bothered me, but he offered to zap them for free. He also gave Mr L2S some cream for a small rash that again we hadn't been bothered about.

Many Thanks for that,
Going on whats been posted that makes an average price for Medical, Bloods & X-ray of about $215 each that makes a grand total of $1290.00 Wow. I wonder if they take instalments?

Best thing would be to look at the CIC list, call up the nearby hospitals and ask for a quote. I tried three places in Toronto and got quotes ranging from $155 to $200. The $155 one worked just fine and I also just confirmed that they had sent the results to Ottawa in less than 10 days of taking the medical.

We took our medicals in Oakville in July and it cost just under $500 for two adults and two children (12 & 10). I didn't think this was too bad and all the bloods and x-rays were done in the same building so we were all done within 2 hours. I had called a few of the listed DMPs to compare prices and they wanted to be paid in cash - no cards!

Hi all

Does anyone know if when you get your med requests here in the UK, whether you can go to Canada on a reccie and get the meds done out there?

If yes, do they still get sent to London and how long it would take them to send them here?

Thanks
Andrea

Hi

First choice Calgary dependant on price we may travel north, east or west to save a few bucks. Going on your costs I would be looking at $3000 for the whole family that's a lot of money (won't be going to NB for meds).

I think I will start calling around for quotations and find out what is or is not included in their fees, as it appears theres no all inclusive fee. Also processing time from when the Doctor completes the forms to when they are sent.

Hi

I'm no expert but, my interpretation of the medical requests process is that you can only request medical examination in the country from where you are resident (in case of WP minimum of 12 months being a temporary resident allows meds to be done in Canada).
I may be wrong but I think its to do with establishing true candidate identity.

You paid $500? Why so much? I've seen people costing it near to $270 for one person but not $500. That's a shocker!

Any one got any prices from Nova Scotia?

See my post further up this list. We went to Elmsdale near Halifax for our medicals and had our xrays and blood tests done locally in New Glasgow.
