PR Card and Solemn Declaration Form

Hello,

we we are a family of 4 who completed our landing “inland” here in Calgary on October 09 2018.

Our son’s PR card never arrived so we faxed IRCC the Solemn Declaration form as per instructions on the IRCC website.

That was 3 weeks ago. How long should we wait before we follow up on it?

Thanks in in advance for your help!

Processing time for cards after solemn declaration is 58 days according to the CIC website, so you've got a way to go yet.

Thanks Christmasoopma for your reply.

Another twist it’s in the tale is that our son has now received a letter from the Processing Centre stating that he did not send compliant/acceptable photos!!!

We all sent sent the same spec photographs - taken together at Walmart!!!

What the heck?!!

Laois 😡

The photographer knew they were for PR and was careful that we had photos that were ‘compliant’ - it doesn’t make sense......?

Print this link off and give to the next photographer

Perhaps WalMart didn't take it to the specifications. There are also pictures in the link that IRCC deem not acceptable.

Did they stamp/ write the required info and date one copy of everyone's photo on the back? Easy to miss :)

The back of one photo must include:
  • the subject’s name and date of birth
  • the name and complete address of the photography studio
  • the date the photograph was taken
The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.
