I did not receive any postal notification regarding Pick up of my PR card, But I got a telephone message that my PR card is ready and I can pick it up at any time, now in this situation what I should do, Can I pick it up without the letter or not.

If CIC phoned you then, go pick it up without the letter. Make sure you take
your proof of landing and picture ID.

You will also need your current passport (valid or expired) as well as
some other picture ID (drivers license or health card).

Thanks for reply, Could u pls let me know whether they will ask for a letter or not, If I don't have one then will it be possible to pick it up without the letter, If any of ur friend has collected PR Card like this or not.......

I picked up mine yesterday. I did have the letter though. I came and
gave them this letter. They took it and told me to wait until my name
is called. After I was called by name, they checked my passport,
Ontario health card, and stamped IMM 1000 form "not valid for travel".
I got my PR card and was on my way. I think you worry too much about
this letter. Just go to the office and tell them what you want.

Thanks for reply, Actually I m currently outside canada so I have to come and collect my card that's Y I m so curious about the letter.

If one misses the PR card date can it be picked up later. I have missed my date of Nov.17 to pick it up from Toronto distribution center. Please advise how can pick it up now..??

----- Go to Toronto CIC office 55 St Clair Avenue East Toronto on any Saturday morning around 8-9AM if you missed first PR card pick up date. They are open on Saturday till 11AM, show your PR card pick up letter when you enter the gate and lift will take you to 5th floor, be in the line, it only takes 15 minute to collect PR card, show your letter Passport and landing paper, my friend collected PR card on Saturday and they even did not asked any other ID just looked at passport, landing paper and he signed the letter that he received the Card and was out of CIC office in 10 minutes.

I am still waiting for a response to my question that Did anyone went there to pick up the card without the letter, Actually I applied in April 2003 , Online status is showing it's approved and I recived a call from CIC office one month back that ur card is ready and u'll receive a letter in few days but I did not receive any letter, Now my question is there someone who went there and picked up the card without that letter.

Hi Johnson.
take your id's and tell them that you lost that letter. they will give
you your card if its ready.

Hi Johnson,

Yes I know a case of my cousin, who received a phone call to pickup the card and he received no letter by mail.

He simply went to the immigration office and picked up his card as per the instruction of the calling person.

Thats it, end of story...

Just go ahead and get the card.

At least u released my a lot of tension, But in my case calling officer from CIC said that ur Card is ready and u'll receive a letter to pick it up within next few days but I m still waiting for that letter, In this case can I go to CIC office to pick it up or not.
