Hi! Gurus
I landed in Sept'2000 after one week i left to US. Since Jan'2002 i have been(settled) in Canada working as a fultime. My question is if i mention 1 yr 3 months absense in PR card application would it be any problem to the PR status in Canada according to the new rules?Your suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,

You have to list all your absences as well as all your addresses and
employments for the past 5 years (or since landing if it was less than 5 years
ago) - so, don't even think about not disclosing all information.

Andrew and Others,
I have landed October 2000 and I have been tracking my in(s) and out(s) from
Canada. I have been in Canada since I landed and working full time but I
have left to the USA, South America and Europe for short trips (vacation,
family, etc.) My total days out are 85 days since 10/2000 divided among 4
visits as mentioned earlier. Do I have to write them down. I have all the
details in terms of dates. I also have a question about the Supplementary
Form (IM 5455). On that form it asks for CLIENT ID. Where do I get that?
Thanks
GO

New law is in force now - so, the 2/5 rule applies.
