Default PR Card

Hi,

I landed on a work permit in Canada in July 2000. My immigration came
through and I became a permanent resident in November 2001.

However, I have been working since November 2003 for a company based
in USA which has also very recently opened a branch office in Toronto.
I spend most of time in USA because of the job. In the last 2 years,
I have travelled only by road to Canada in my car, which is Canadian
registered.

I have paid Canadian taxes for the last two years as a resident
Canadian.

I want to apply for the PR card now. Please advise if my working in
USA for the last two years can create any problems in getting a PR
card. What do i put in my work history while applying for the card.

Please advise...

Cheers

Default Re: PR Card

November 2003? Presume you mean November 2002 and you work on a H1B in the
US.

Working in the US has no effect on the Canadian PR status. The 2/5 rule is
the main criterion. You need to maintain 730 days in the last 5 years in
Canada.
