As we all know that the new immigration law will effect us on June 28th

My question is..

* I got the sponsorship for my wife approved in March. This is before June 28th and
having the PR application Kit forwarded to my wife in March as well..

The PR application kit is an old version.. I am sure there will be a new version
coming out after June 28 according to Immigration web site.

So Since my wife got the old PR application Kit already and

she wouldn't able to submit the forms before June 28th (due to police certificate).

So.. when she get all stuffs ready that would be after the June 28th. Also the new PR
application kit came out already.

Does she need to submit the new PR application kit, after Jun 28?

I have called Immigration Canada, the guy said NO. Since the sponsorship process was
already started in March he said.

Anyone having the same problem? Thanks for you help!

Hi:

Family Clas sponsorship applications are not retroactive.

Have your wife submit the application that she has in her possession as soon
as possible.

The June 28, 2002 date will not effect your wife's application.

you are in exactly the same position as me. my wife was aproved to sponsor me a few
weeks ago and i am still waiting on police certificate from UK and unless it arrives
tomorrow or something i probably wont get my application in to London CHC until after
June 28th. However i will go along with the guy you called as the new regs say
anything done before the date is still valid and since they have been approved as a
sponsor already that still holds true and so we are already embarking along the old
rules application proceedure, and the new forms will be different and all combinds
and submitted to Canada. Also CIC include teh forms with the sponsor approval and as
they did not include any extra info saying wait for new forms, or submit this back to
Canada etc, then i presume we proceed as normal. Hopefuly noone else will apply now
under old style and maybe that means local places like London CHC will get no more
family class workload and ours wont get too delayed.
