PR with AEO. How long? Anyone done this recently?
Any ideas happy folks? We sent off our PR application pack to the London Embassy and got delivery confirmation on 14th November. The blurb here says we can expect a confirmation that we are in the system and a tracking number within 3 months. That would be almost two weeks ago! Not heard anything yet

TIA for any thoughts

FAQ - Can you confirm when you receive my application in your office?
If your file is complete, we will send you a letter confirming that we have received your application within 3 months of the date of reception. You will be informed of the file number which has been assigned to your application. If you need to communicate with our service, please always indicate this file number.

Most applicants receive AOR letter with file number from CHC London in about a month to two or so. But some get it after several months, if at all. We had reports here from applicants who never received file number and the first communication they've got was medical request.
If you submitted application using traceable mail or courier (I hope you did) then you at least know that CHC got it. If it is the case then don't worry.

Thanks Andrew, appreciate that. There was me thinking it would be simple and 3 months meant 3 months! Do you have any ballpark idea how long it might be for us to gain PR given that we have submitted a valid AEO? We have been under the impression that it will be fast tracked and six months is possible? Or are we misinformed?
Thanks again

Hi Gordi, thanks for the input. Did you apply for PR from within Canada?

He hasn't had any reply from CHC London to his e-mail dated 13 March 2007 enquiring about our file. He also said that they won't be able to give us any answers really because they can't match up the enquiry with our file as we don't have a file number.
Our temp WV run out on 31 October 2007, when should we start to apply to get them extended?
We really don't know what to do to get any answers.
