Smile PPR, on our way in 2 weeks

We actually got our PPR, no brown envelope telling us to send passports but an e-mail saying ' Are you willing/able to travel to Canada before 6th Feb ? '
I took passports down to CHC London on Thursday and I'm supposed to collect them next Thursday, they've said they will have them ready in 1 week as time is so tight. We had photo's done on MATT paper at a photographers Thursday morning. PPR forms were changed in November and say they want photo's on matt, we didn't want to take the risk of sending the ones from photo booths.
We've booked flights to 'land' on the 29th this month. We're lucky that we can stay at my nephew's at any time.
So 4 years after we submitted our application and 3 weeks short of our AOR, it finally feels like we might get there.
Many thanks to anyone who has offered advice and support on these pages, you have been a great help,

Great news Howlong !
Pleased to see CIC have finally got their fingers out !
Don't you think it's a bit rich when you wait for all those years, like us, then they only give you a few weeks to get landed, with no prior warning that you've got the nod !
Well done & good luck !
Jimsan.

That's fantastic news

I don't know the ins and outs of your application, but ours took just under four years too and we then had a "can you land within four weeks phone call".

I totally understand your relief! Well done and all the best
