Right now I have a BUNAC visa (a student one) that lasts until september the 19th, but I'm hoping to attend a canadian school (the semester would start 1st of september) which means I'd be applying and hopefully getting a student visa.

Am i going to run into any problems doing this?

I'm back in the UK so the BUNAC visa is sitting in my passport and I'm not really doing anything with it, I thought it would be better to keep a hold of it then return it before it runs out in case anything came up that I hadnt planned for.

As far as I know, you can only have one visa. They will cancel the previous visa if they give you a visa in a different category. So if they give you a student visa, they will cancel you BUNAC.

At least thats what I was told, but could be wrong.

How about entering Canada on the same BUNAC visa a month or so before your course starts and then apply for extension or conversion into the right category once you are there when it runs out. Colleges are usually helpful in sorting that out for their students and you wont have to produce as many evidences to get the visa as you have to if you apply from outside Canada.

Thanks for the advice, I should mention that I'd be in Regina sasketchewan.

If I make a trip to the airport and hand it in will it end the work visa? Would I be able to go to the airport or would i have to go to london and hand it in?

I'm really hoping not because Londons a hell of a trek.
