Default Positive LMO & Job Offer

Hi All,

I've been viewing this site since Dec 07.
Read loads and thought I knew basically what I was doing.
But now my prospective employer has contacted me with good news my mind has gone blank!
He has just recieved a positive LMO and sent that to me with an offer of employment.
The offer states that on acceptance of the offer I have 2 months to start work.
I beleive I now need to apply with these documents for a Temp Work Permit.
I can do this through CIC in London, or at Port of Entry (bit risky)
I believe this to be correct, am I?????
Don't know why I'm doubtin myself, but brain gone into overload.

Yes, you need to apply for TWP now. If job requires medicals before WP can be issued or you need a visa to come to Canada then apply through visa post. If no medicals nor visa required then you can get it at the port of entry, providing that you present all required evidence when asking for WP at POE.

I believe my job, factory estimator, doesn't require a medical.
But will check.
Don't understand the need for visa?
Then I need to do a checklist of required evidence and have all this with me when at POE.
Will then need assistance with application for PR.

1. The job as it probably has nothing to do with food service, children, or care duties does not require a medical. Unless you reside in one of scheduled countries.
2. If you are a citizen of the following countries http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp you would require a TRV (visitor visa) to enter Canada.
