How did you go about it? Did you jsut print out the letter and fill it in from the
application pack then go to your local polcie station and ask for tehf orms to fill
in and what have you? Cos that is what i was gonna do.

I was just going to fill out the .pdf form I got from the Sussex Police website and mail it to them. It says on the form that if you hand-deliver it, it can take longer as it isn't automatically placed in the system, so to speak...
I thought that was the best way, but then I haven't done it yet. Maybe not all police forces have a downloadable form...and that's why you'd have to go down there? (that was a sort of rhetorical question)

I rang the local police (I am in sussex - I think it is the same 0845 number
worldwide) and they gave me the URL of sussex police... searched on there for
immigration and downloaded the form and printed it, filled it in and sent it off with
the 10 pound fee and the form from the application pack from the canadian embassy.
Two days later a receipt arrived for my 10 quid![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The best bet is to find out which police force jurisdiction you come under and havea
quick web search as you can download and print the form from there. It is actually a
form for information under the data protection act ... the paperwork is called
"Subject Access"
