Default police certs

OK guys I need your wisdom again. Just last week I celebrated getting my A.I.P and work permit. Now I get a letter saying my application for PR is being processed and I need to send in a British police certificate. Now I lived in Ireland for awhile and I got the police cert from there and sent it in with my application back in January.
I'm sure in the guide notes it says for inland applications you don't need to send in police certs from your country of origin. So I didn't. I thought I understood but I guess I got that part wrong. Any body know what I am talking about? And how long does it take to get one these days?

Follow the instructions here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...ed-kingdom.asp It also gives the processing times.
