Hello,
We are filling out an application under Spouse or Common-Law Partner in
Canada Class.
I do require a police certificate from Israel ( I am a citizen of Israel).
If anyone have an idea as to how I can obtain (and how long does it take)
police certificate being in Vancouver BC please share.
Thank you for any info.
Peter
P.S. may be it is possible to submit application without it, and just
mention that I am in a process of obtaining police certificate!?

You might start with the nearest Israeli Consulate and ask them. It would
seem logical. Eh!

You submit a request to the Israeli Consulate in Toronto which is
responsible for western Canada. It cost 6$ and you need 2 or 4 passport
photos.Call the consulate they will explain to you how to pay them through
mail and how to go about the whole thing. On you request for an Israeli PC
write both in Hebrew and English
O NOT FORWARD TO CANADIAN AUTHORITIES
BEFORE I PROVIDE YOU WITH A FILE NUMBER.On the request form just put the
name and address of the case processing centre (Vegerville I assume?).Israel
doesn't forward Police Certificates to individuals, which means you cannot
have it when you are sending your application for Permanent Resident
Status. In your application for PR status , explain that a police certificate
would be forwarded by the Israeli Consulate in Toronto ,once you receive a
file number.I think the Israeli consulate in San Francisco will refer you to
Toronto because the matter involves mailing within Canada, and you are in
Toronto's jurisdiction.I hope this is of any help to you.
