Default police certifcates and medicals

Thank you everyone that replied to my last question, I just have 1
more.

I am still waiting on my forms to arrive for spousal sponsorship, so
while I wait can I have my medical done and send for a police report,
or does the application include letters or forms to be given to these?
Also if I have to apply for my police report would I need to contact
Scotland yard in the UK or my local police station?
Sorry if I'm asking a dumb question but I just want to be organised
with this process.

Thank you in advance

Mary

One more thing, I have heard that children under 11 do not require a
medical is this true and does it apply to any children living apart
from you in the UK???

You heard wrong. All - principal applicants and his/her dependants,
regardless of age and regardless if they accompany or not must pass
medicals. Non-accompanying dependants may opt out of medicals but they will
be then excluded from family class and illegible to be sponsored ever.

As for police certificate your local police station has the required forms.

All must have medical, no matter what the age.

Hi,
Sorry if this sounds like i'm glouting. ( I'm not. It took us by suprise and has nocked us off course)

Here is a small time line, for our police clearance:
Wrote to Medicine hat Police service 21 oct 03.
received clearance back from them 1st Nov 03 ( wow)

I know this is only one part of our clearance as we lived in Med hat for 2 years we still need UK clearance. but hey life is full of little suprises like this one

Fingers crossed for your App

PS we have 2 children (8,10) they both need medicals, but not chest x-rays ( so we have just been informed by the medical centre we are using) so that has saved us 35 GBPS each child

Ted

A local records check from Medicine Hat is not going to do you much good.
You have to submit fingerprints to the RCMP for your criminal records check.

We did inclose fingerprint cards, signed and witnessed by our local police Auth. The letter back is headed " Med hat police service" so i will do some digging and see if this still covers the 2 years i lived in Canada. thanks again for your help
